About New Order
Joy Division was among the Factory Records label's greatest assets. This was yet another void that New Order filled when they formed in 1980, after Ian Curtis' suicide. In general, New Order did not discuss their former band and its tragic outcome, but continued advancing the music scene of Manchester with their new style of synthesizer-infused post-punk music.
